The hotel was beautiful and the scenery with views over the countryside to the sea. The staff were exceptional. So friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was very good (continental). We were a group of many as a family member was getting married in the area. All our rooms were different but all very good. Comfy beds and great bathrooms. Loved the terrace where we ate breakfast.

The setting and hotel was beautiful. Unfortunately the staff level of experience in hospitality and food itself didn’t match the level of the hotel itself. We were expecting to be able to stay in the hotel and enjoy the tranquility since it was in an isolated location and not much around but because the food offering was so limited and frankly not of a high standard we ended up having to travel out each day. This was of course still lovely to do but not what we planned for this part of the holiday. If we intended to leave each night we would have chosen accomodation nearer to a busier town or somewhere of walking distance so we could have a wine with dinner and not drive!

Tranquil, beautiful, historic, scenic, very nice people,...
Tranquil, beautiful, historic, scenic, very nice people, long promenades by the sea and non commercial port, and calm, including the drivers. The centro is old, has winding streets, an immense castle/fort, an 11th century cathedral (you dont meet them often), and a small old Byzantine chapel - San Pietro - with a custoduan who will give you a description in writing for free to help you understand the surviving frescos which will keep you there longer than you'll probably spend in the cathedral. Many reasons to take photos at every turn, down streets, out from town, then from the peninsula, with its new builds and one very old church, of the town, especially at night. Many restaurants with out door patios and a variety of prices, great fresh fish & seafood selections. Beaches and concrete piers from which to swim, down from the promenade that skirts the old town/centro. When's the last time you went to vist the historic centre of a town and said gee i wish i'd brought my bathing suit & a towel. And a lot of free parking lots with a lot of spaces a short walk to the old centro citta. When i come back to Puglia, i'm staying a week in Otranto for all these reasons, especially if i've been to & drove in Lecce, Galipoli, Monte Sant'Angelo or Taranto

Having grown up at Otranto Place, Sandycove, Dublin, I had always wanted to visit! Unlike its Dublin namesake, it is a little down at heel, BUT I loved it all the more! Has character, history, cultural sights to see (the castle made famous by Horace Walpole and the amazing Tree of Life mosaic in the Cathedral). A town beach and nearby to other lovely beaches & beach clubs. Lots of good meals but two exceptional places - Frontemare, on the sea front and very cute L'Ortale in the heart of the old town. Stayed at Relais Valle Dell'Idro, 8 mins walk out of the old town, charming and good value.

It is a very nice little city with lots of restaurants and bars for any kind of public. The sea has a wonderful colour, it is super clean (at least while we were there) and behind the lighthouse there is a super beach with rocks, it looks simply GREAT.

We enjoyed walking around the town and beach area.
We enjoyed walking around the town and beach area. We travelled to the Bauxite Lake which was nearby and hiked around it and then down to the ocean. A highlight was going south and swimming in the Adriatic and Ionian Seas. We hired a boat for the two of us for 3 hours for 60 Euros. It was absolutly amazing and the grotto's were beautiful. The water color was just amazing! A highlight of our trip to southern Italy.

It is a really attractive town, with pretty streets, a castle and a lovely old cathedral. The cathedral has some spectacular Byzantine floor mosaics. In grim contrast, the Martyrs Chapel contains the bones of 800 Christians massacred by the Turks in 1480. We spent an enjoyable couple of hours exploring and ended up for a good mojito and beer on the front.
Spacious room with gorgeous bathroom with soaking tub and spacious modern shower. Elena was a terrific coast and responded immediately to all my requests. The room is one block away from the ocean has a huge terrace onto its own and the room was well stocked with all sorts of goodies like wine, breakfast snacks, water, etc. But if you need it there are wonderful markets for groceries and a laveteria if youve been traveling and need to freshen your wardrobe. would always be my first choice in Otranto
The best accommodation we had on our holiday in Puglia. We arrived late at night but the hosts were very amenable and friendly and even left us 2 little pots of homemade honey! The apartment is very spacious and clean. The kitchen had everything we needed. The outdoor hottub was incredible! 2 minutes walk to the castle and town. Hosts were extremely helpful on checkout so that we could leave our bags until we got the train. We definitely hope to return. Thanks so much Laura and Oscar!
So much to love about this place. The showers, bed and facilities were amazing. The pool was so clean and beautiful to swim in. The breakfast every morning was deliciously prepared. The rooms were cleaned everyday and so spacious to relax in with balcony to accompany. The people were the best though, Aldo gave us lots of information and recommendations and made us feel part of his family. If you’re coming to Otranto you must stay here.
Fantastic service, breakfast and room. This is the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in. Each day our room was spotlessly cleaned and tidied. Our stay was faultless from our welcome/check-in to the spacious room to the generous breakfast
We enjoyed walking into Otranto for our evening meals (30 min). The Masseria is in a relaxing location away from the business of the old town.
The property was in a perfect location. Steps to the beach and town. The hotel is beautiful and modern. The full breakfast they served was delicious. Eleanora ( front desk staff )was amazing. She went out of her way to assist us with directions to nearby towns. We also met the owner who treated us like family.I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone visiting Otranto
Great little spot, especially for a short stay. The owner was SUPER personable and helpful, giving me all sorts of recommendations and even the best part of the city to watch the sunrise.
Breakfast is served at the nearby cafe and the b&b is only a short walking distance from the sea and the city center. Great town and great stay overall!
Despite 10 min walk to beaches and the old town....Franco & Nana are among the best hosts I've ever come across in a B&B. Kind, courteous, helpful, full of fun and just the right amount of wish to please. Top that with immaculate rooms fit for a luxury hotel....cannot recommend Vele Sorrento highly enough...just book and stay. Ron
A lovely family-run hotel in a great location in the town of Otranto. Our room was ocean-facing with a nice balcony. The bathroom was small but clean, the room was very comfortable and decor was nice. Breakfast in the restaurant on the main floor was good. Staff were very polite and helpful, especially with parking and check in.
This B&B is beautiful and it’s located just a 5 minute walk to the harbour and 8 minutes to the old city. The hosts are absolutely wonderful, as was the breakfast. We rate it as one of the very best in our 5 week adventure by bike through southern Italy. Thank you Nana and Franco.❤️❤️I wish we had more time to spend with you.
Beautifully laid out Hotel, with individual ground floor apartments, I loved the lay out of each apartment, some overlooked the pool, others had their own little garden with outdoor seating area. The pool was beautiful and never crowded, plenty of loungers. A short 8 - 10minute walk to the beautiful town of Otranto.
We loved this hotel. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The hotel has a lovely roof terrace with great views. The staff were so helpful and friendly. I felt at home, as soon was we arrived there. The breakfast was the best I have had in Italy!!! Highly recommended!!
This place has been the best surprise so far on my trip to Puglia. It is just a paradise on Earth. Staff, cleanliness, location, price… everything was so perfect that we regretted that we couldn’t stay for longer in Otranto! Paola, Federica, Anna and the whole staff were amazing!
The aggritourismo is very beautiful , very kind people to welcome us . Filippo is a nice guy who helps out with all info .
Nice pool to have a swim to refresh.
The breakfast is one of the best and most variety we had travelling in Puglia.
The room is standard but clean.
The apartment was very comfortable and the ability to get free bikes from their property to ride around Puglia was a game-changer for our trip. Very handy, very helpful and allowed us to go to several beaches without having to find taxis and spend extra money.
Great location for the best beaches, Otranto, very helpful host who waited us till late, served us delicious breakfast and farewelled us with a local Tenuta vine. Very recommended, clean and charming place in the south Italian agriturism style.
Gorgeous peaceful location, delicious dinner in the restaurant (yes please lobster linguine), lovely friendly and helpful staff, great pool, comfortable and clean room, easy to get a taxi into Otranto when we didn't want to drive.
Superfriendly staff, especially Receptionists. Carpark nesrby for only 7€ per day. Clean rooms, newly renovated. Located close to the old town and beaches. Highly recommend this boutique hotel.
The best thing about this property was its excellent property manager Giuseppe. The property was perfectly located with very easy access to all things Otranto.
It offers great value.
Amazing breakfast. Best I have encountered at an Italian B&B. Great staff and servers at dinner. Great food presentation. Creative combinations. Worth eating at their restaurant.
great location, just beside the magnificent cathedral .
Beautiful room with a very nice terrace. all staff members did their best to make it a most enjoyable stay for us.
